JOB DESCRIPTION

Automation Tester / QA Engineer

1. Responsibilities

a. Software Requirement Analysis & Test Design

  • Analyze software requirements, clarify specifications with relevant teams.

  • Design test cases and build detailed testing scenarios.

  • Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test data.

b. Automation Test Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web/mobile/API using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, etc.

  • Build and optimize automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

c. Test Execution & Quality Assurance

  • Perform Functional TestingIntegration TestingRegression Testing, and Performance Testing when required.

  • Log defects, track issues, and collaborate with developers to verify and resolve bugs.

  • Participate in feature and product acceptance testing with clients.

d. Documentation & User Support

  • Prepare and finalize technical documentation as required.

  • Write User Manuals (HDSD), provide training and guidance to end-users.

  • Support onboarding and capability development for junior testers.

e. Process Improvement

  • Propose improvements for the testing process to enhance product quality.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and best practices within the QA team.

 


REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, or related fields.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Automation Testing.

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle and methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall).

  • Prefer candidates with experience testing API, mobile apps, web platforms, or working with Jira, TestRail, Postman, Selenium, etc.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good requirement analysis and test case writing skills.

  • Logical thinking, attention to detail, patience, and accountability.

  • Advanced SQL knowledge.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • English: ability to read and understand technical documents (TOEIC 550+ or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in customer service or CX-related software projects.

  • Strong database knowledge and SQL query skills.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
